Step by Step Instructions - How to Apply for Funding
 
  1. Print the application form.

  2. Complete Section A: Applicant Information.

  3. Check all applicable boxes in Section B1: "Funding is required for employee training to."

  4. Do not fill out the "Course Name" through "Names(s) of Employee(s) to Receive Training" sections of Section B2.

    The separate Description of Training document that Sector has created for you is a substitute for this section.

    • Start/End Dates of Training are placeholder dates. We have not reserved these dates for your training. We will work with you to schedule training dates that suit your organization’s availability after you have been approved for funding .

  5. Fill out the "Describe how this training relates to the box(es) checked in Section B.1" section in Section B2.
    • An generic example of what other clients have filled out is:

      "
      [Company Name] relies on a small staff to manage the office, communicate with members and promote the work it does in the community.  Each of the courses described in this application will help the company become more productive, reach more people and promote business in the Victoria area."

  6. Complete Section B3: "Funding Request."

    • Write the training cost amount (as outlined in the Quote document) beside “Training Purchase Cost.” This amount does not include taxes. The amount of taxes that Sector will be invoicing you for is listed on the second page of your quote. Please be aware that you will be paying this amount out of pocket.  

    • All organizations are eligible to claim an input tax credit or rebate. Therefore, small business Employer funding requests should not include HST. Not-for-profit Employer funding requests should include only 50% of applicable HST.  

    • Please leave “Other Training Related Costs” blank unless your organization is eligible to request funding for 50% of applicable HST. If you are eligible, enter the amount beside “Other Training Related Costs” along with a note stating the request is for “50% of applicable HST” (instead of books, manuals, study materials, etc.).

  7. Review Section C: "Certification by Applicant and Agreement."

  8. Sign, print name and title, and date Section C.

  9. Mail completed funding application form to: Chemistry Consulting Group Inc.
