Victoria SharePoint Users Group
We are proud to announce that we will be hosting the
Victoria SharePoint Users group.
These collaborative meetings provide answers and support to a diverse group of SharePoint users through guest speaker presentations, roundtable discussions and more.
Founded by Sean Wallbridge of itgroove and Microsoft MVP , this community user group and website (built on SharePoint 2010 Foundation of course) was created because we believe Microsoft SharePoint is the fastest growing product to come out of Microsoft in the history of the company and there is a big reason behind that
- it's awesome.
Contact us to join our vSharePoint Speakers Mailing list and we'll send you a list of available dates for future vSharePoint events. |

A Greener Sector:
Bring on the Bulk
We are now buying bulk foods where we can.
Earlier this month, my colleague Kelly pointed out how many of our favourite food brands are available in bulk at our local grocery store. This got us thinking - why were we buying small containers of tea, coffee, juices, etc. for clients several times a week when we could be buying them in bulk?
This way we reduce our waste by avoiding unnecessary packaging and, at the same time, save a few bucks.
It's a win-win!
This green initiative was brought to you by Veronica Rutherford.

Instructor's Tip
How to Reduce PDF File Size in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro
Tried to email a PDF you've created but the file size is too large?
Don't worry! You don't have to go back and resize each individual file or jpeg.
1. Open your PDF.
2. Select the "Document" menu.
3. Select "Reduce File Size."
4. Select the version compatibility.
Note: Limiting compatibility to the latest version reduces the file size.
How do I choose? Ask yourself: Is the document recipient using using the latest version of Acrobat Reader?
Don't know?
Play it safe and choose an older version.
Note: If your document contains transparency and you select "Acrobat 4.0 And Later", the transparency is flattened.
5. Select "Ok."
6. Save and resend.
Using a different version of Adobe Acrobat?
We've got the solutions for those software versions too!
