Microsoft Word's Format Painter
Function:
Copy formatting from one place and apply it to another.
Location: On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group.
Keyboard Shortcut:
Ctrl + Shift + C
How to:
1. Select the text that has the formatting that you want to copy.
2. If you want to copy text formatting, select a portion of a paragraph.
3. If you want to copy text and paragraph formatting, select an entire paragraph, including the paragraph mark.
4. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Format Painter. The pointer changes to a paintbrush icon.
5. Double-click the Format Painter button if you want to change the format of multiple selections in your document.
6. Double-click this button to apply the same formatting to multiple places in a document.
7. Select the text or graphic that you want to format. Repeat if necessary.
8. To stop formatting, press ESC.
