A Greener Sector: Recharge

We have switched from batteries to 'betteries':

Rechargable batteries!

Many of our office supplies are battery operated, from wireless keyboards to the instructor laser pointers in the classroom. In November we added AAA rechargable batteries to our rechargable collection.

Also, by ordering no-name batteries, we reduced our waste (there was no packaging!) and supported a locally owned business.

This green initiative was brought to you by Veronica Rutherford.

Instructor's Tip

for Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010

Getting an Outlook message stating that your inbox is over its size limit?

Deleting attachments is a easy way to free up a ton of space.

Need to clean up your mailbox, but worried about losing information?

Here's a step-by-step guide on how to delete attachments

without deleting the emails they are attached to:

1. In Outlook, open the email by double clicking on the message.

2. Confirm that you want to delete the attachment.

3. Right click on the attachment and choose "Remove Attachment."

4. Close the email and confirm the changes.

Still need more space?

Remember:

Items in all of your mailbox folders including the Deleted Items and Sent Items folders count against your size limit.
