A Greener Sector: Paperless Invoices
We email our invoices!
If you've taken a course from us recently, you may have noticed that our invoices are arriving in your inbox instead of your mailbox.
This saves resources (paper, envelopes, stamps) and reduces our green house gas emissions.
Of course, we will send you the original paper copy by request.
This green initiative was brought to you by Veronica Rutherford. |

Client Feedback
"Over the year our CDMR SharePoint site has been well used and appreciated. It has been interesting to watch the transition from resistance to acceptance to reliance on our new tool. I can't thank you enough for getting this site up and running and being there for ongoing support and for sharpening my toolkit."
-Kim Benham, Logistics Speacialist, Vancouver Island Health Authority |

Facebook Contest Winners
Congratulations to the first 20 people who
migrated over to our new Facebook page! You will all be receiving
10% off any of our confirmed Social Media courses.
Congratulations to Carollyne Yardley and Catherine Novak who will each be receiving 10% off any of our Microsoft Office courses for correctly explaining why we chose to switch from a Facebook profile to a Facebook page. Curious? Check out their answers below:
"Because you can't see a profile page unless you're a friend, whereas you can link a fan page from your website and it can be seen by all." -Carollyne Yardley,
Omnimedia
"Because Facebook is very clear that profiles are for real people with first and last names, like Gerry Brimacombe or Kelly Marshall, and pages are for businesses and organizations, like Sector Learning Solutions. And it's so much easier to "like" you this way!!" -Catherine Novak, Go West Design Group

Instructor's Tip
Microsoft
One Note Password Protection
Did you know you can password protect sections of your One Note files?
Use this tip to keep prying eyes out of your files, or out of certain areas of shared files.
1. Open OneNote.
2. In the Ribbon, right click on the Section tab.
3. Select "Password Protect this Section."
4. This opens a menu on the right side of the screen. Choose "Set Password" or choose from a list of options under "Password Options."
